On the Handshake platform, college students can see that Clarins is searching for a trade marketing intern to work in their New York office, 35 hours per week, for around 6 months. Clarins specified that the salary is $18 per hour, and they want a highly motivated intern who is up for any challenge. The job description states that it is a fast-paced environment, meaning the intern must balance varying tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude.
The current CEO of Clarins is Jonathan Zrihen. Jonathan worked his way up to Head of the family-owned group after entering Clarins as an intern in 1993, a fresh graduate of the Institut Supérieur du Commerce de Paris (Clarins Group, 2025). He played a key role in expanding Clarins’ brands to an international scale. From 1999 to 2004, Zrihen completed the ultimate task of Clarins’ expansion into the Chinese market, which is now Clarins’ largest. Zrihen is an influential figure who supported Clarins Group’s success and dominance in the skincare industry (Clarins Group, 2025). He redefined the French skincare products as a beneficial necessity that would improve the lives of its consumers. Creating a need for these products and properly marketing them to the right audience is a skill. Zrihen is an essential member of Clarins Group, who helped Clarins become a worldwide phenomenon, a brand millions of people around the globe respect and honor (Pidgeon, 2021).

My Clarins is a specific skincare line targeted at young women aged 18 to 29. One example of content by Clarins Group: My Clarins is the curated photoshoot of the product: My Clarins RE-BOOST hydra-energizing cream (Clarins, 2025). In the close-up photograph, a South Asian-descent woman in her early thirties is pictured smiling with her eyes closed, bare-faced, the Clarins cream is displayed on the right cheek of her face. The lightweight texture of the intensely hydrating gel-like moisturizer blends seamlessly into the woman’s flawless skin (Clarins, 2025). She radiates a peaceful glow, and the ad shows us that happiness can be found through the My Clarins skincare products.
The description for the cream on the Clarins U.S. website lists the natural ingredients of apricot kernel oil, coconut fruit juice, fig fruit extract, acerola seed extract, tamarind extract, horehound plant (mint family) extract, goji berry fruit extract, red seaweed extract, and lapsana communis flower extract (Clarins, 2025). These organic ingredients are proven to soothe skin blemishes, nourish dehydrated skin, support the skin barrier, and reduce inflammation. The blend of naturally derived ingredients sets the Clarins brand apart from competing brands. Clarins focuses on deriving pure, sustainable ingredients and is a global leader in certified Clean Beauty. Its mission statement and brand pillars define it as the epitome of luxury in skincare.
